About Chemistry Department

The Department of Chemistry was established in 2017-18 in our College. Since then we have been running undergraduate courses in Chemistry. The department provides students with high quality teaching, facilities like laboratories, equipment and reference books. The chemistry department also organizes research related seminars, Basic instrumentation workshops, Guest lectures and Industrial visits for students.

Our faculty members are very generous and they provide their subject knowledge to the students using innovative teaching learning methods and encourage students to participate in other curricular and extracurricular activities.

Our undergraduate chemistry students from our department are doing great in their careers, some of them are working in Industries and some are pursuing postgraduate degrees.

1. To develop skills of students in theory and practical works.
2. To train students in Proper laboratory and safety techniques.
3. To motivate students to participate in other curricular and extracurricular activities like Aavishkar.
4. To provide students with Quality teaching, Career guidance, Skill developing and Research oriented programs.

Achievements / Activities

Dated on 20th December 2025 Miss. Anushka Nagvekar (S.Y.B.Sc) and Miss. Sangita Kamble (F.Y.B.Sc) along with OSD of Aavishkar Dr. Minakshi Gurav after winning the Consolation Prize in the Final Round of the 20th Avishkar Research Convention at Vidyapeeth Vidyarthi Bhavan, Churchgate, Mumbai.

Deputy Agricultural Inspector Mr. Ravindra Kharat giving information about collecting, testing, analyzing the soil sample.

Mr. Jaywant Sarje sir demonstrating students about soil testing using spectrophotometer.

Mr. Yogesh Velye demonstrated the students about soil testing using Flame Photometer.

Team of District Soil Testing Laboratory, Pomendi, Ra along with Ratnagiri along with teachers and students of SY and T.Y.BSc.
