About Marathi Department

This department includes the B.A. part of First, Second and Third.This department’s number of students are satisfactory from the beginning.We are going to complete the syllabus as per Semester plan which is provided to Mumbai University. We conduct innovative programmes as discussion seminars, projects and workshops at the student level to encourage students. We have been teaching Seven papers to First, Second and Third Years students. The Department of Marathi aims to provide all students opportunities to enhance their Linguistic Skills, Language Conservation in the present global era, Communication Skill, Development of language culture and research skill and critical thinking.

In this way, the Marathi department tries to achieve aims and objectives decided by college and university to develop the overall personality of the students through teaching, learning process and co-curricular activities.

Objectives:
  1. To preserve Marathi literature and culture among the students.
  2. To develop aptitude among the students about Marathi.
  3. To provide quality interdisciplinary education and training through fieldwork, writings, discussions and research.
  4. To Encourage students to read Rural, Dalit, Feminist, Metropolitan literature for a better sense of Marathi Language.
