The establishment of the Arts, Commerce, Science Senior College of the Bharat Shikshan Mandal, located in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra took place in August 19th 2016. In the last two years, on January 12th, 2019, the college was renamed "Bharat Shikshan Mandal's Deo-Ghaisas-Keer Arts, Commerce, Science Senior College, Ratnagiri" and our college became affiliated with 'Mumbai University.' The college has received positive feedback from students in the past seven years. At the inception of the college, the provision of quality education through central teaching facilities was the first priority. Accordingly, the college fulfilled the accreditation requirements for three branches, we offer courses like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc. with stream of Humanities & Social Sciences, Accounting & Commerce, Science. It gives me immense pleasure to share that BSM DGK Senior College, Ratnagiri, located in the heart of the city, has successfully completed ten years of dedicated service in providing quality education since its establishment in August 2016. This year marks my 5th year as Principal and it has been extremely rewarding to witness the college’s growth, achievements and the positive impact on our students over this decade.

One of the most significant events this year was the NAAC accreditation (2 CGPA, C Grade). During 5 & 6 September 2024, the NAAC team visited our college to evaluate our academic, administrative, co-curricular and cultural activities. Their invaluable guidance, suggestions for improvement and demonstration of best practices have further strengthened the institution’s quality development. This accreditation marks a key milestone in the college’s history and equips us to implement effective strategies for academic quality enhancement, research promotion, skill development programs, and administrative improvements.

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the college emphasizes multidisciplinary learning, skill development, research orientation and value-based education. Various initiatives, including sports, cultural programs, debates, essay competitions, NSS, competitive examinations, and collaborations with social organizations, have been implemented to ensure the holistic development of students. Furthermore, the college successfully planned and organized the 58th University Youth Festival of the University of Mumbai, for which the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ravindra Kulkarni, honored the college with a certificate of appreciation.
